WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS LUNCHEON

Each year, Rising Women Network celebrates high achieving women in the community at this annual luncheon. Established with the goal of increasing community awareness and appreciation for the diverse contributions of women leaders on the Treasure Coast, this luncheon has honored more several women in the region.

The Women of Achievement awards luncheon has evolved into RWN Treasure Coast’s largest fundraising event, sponsored by local companies and organizations each year, and is one of the area’s most prestigious award recognition events for women.

Over 200 friends and supporters who believe in RWN’s dedication to enrich the community by uniting and  developing female entrepreneurs and professionals with the tools needed to succeed in a competitive business environment  and strengthening communities through economic empowerment and social programs.

All proceeds raised by this important event directly benefit Rising Women Network’s services for economic empowerment and social programs, including educational training, college scholarships, job readiness, and resources for low income children.

WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT – 2020

RWN’s 3rd annual Women of Achievement awards luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2020 from 11:00am – 2:00pm. We will gather at the PSL Community Center with friends of the RWN to celebrate amazing women and feel inspired by our communities dedication to the safety and well-being of women, children, and families.

Nomination forms for the 2020 Women of Achievement Awards are now available until February 29.

The purpose of the Women of Achievement Award is to recognize and honor women of diverse cultures, roles and accomplishments who have demonstrated commitment to the betterment of the Treasure Coast region through significant contributions. All nominations must be sent via the website by filling out the form provided. We will not accept any nominations from any other medium.

A nominee may be nominated by someone else or they may nominate themselves. You do not need to be nominated more than once to guarantee your place in the final selection. What counts is the quality of your work as presented in your profile.

Our Procedure

Nomination is open to the public.

Finalist selection is by panel of judges. Finalists are notified and are asked to submit certain information, Headshot and profile for their promotions.

How to nominate

Before you nominate a person, we suggest you discuss it with them so you can have enough details to back up your nomination for them. Your details and that of your nominee are necessary for us to contact them and keep you updated on their nomination status.

Criteria for Selection

A woman nominated as a Women of Achievement should meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a record of achievement and leadership in one or more areas of service within the Treasure Coast region.
  • Must have made an outstanding or extraordinary contribution, over and above her professional responsibilities, that has helped to address a pertinent need, problem or issue, or has made a difference that improves the quality of life for others within the Treasure Coast area.
  • Discuss professional work, and professional career path. Is her volunteer work part of her job?
  • Describe current activities, including dates.
  • Note how nominee has gone above and beyond; what distinguishes her from others
  • Describe how nominee had an impact on the community. How many lives did she touch? What difference did she make?
  • Is she a woman with vision; did she see a gap in services and develop a program to fill that gap?
  • Did she perceive a problem and find a solution? Did she collaborate?
  • Does she have charisma? Does she motivate others to join her? Is she a catalyst for change?

 

Volunteer
